Dokter spesialis gizi klinis dari Alia Hospital Jakarta Timur, dr Nurul Ratna Mutu Manikam M.Gizi, SpGK (K), menyatakan bahwa diet saat puasa bisa efektif jika dilakukan dengan benar. Salah satu tantangan terbesarnya adalah mengontrol pola makan saat berbuka.

Menurutnya, beragam hidangan saat berbuka seringkali menggoda dan memicu “lapar mata,” sehingga seseorang justru makan lebih banyak daripada saat tidak berpuasa.

“Kalau ingin menurunkan berat badan, hindari makanan seperti gorengan. Sebaiknya konsumsi buah yang berair agar tubuh tetap terhidrasi,” ujar dr Nurul kepada detikcom, Jumat (8/3/2024).

Hindari Makanan Manis dan Olahan Tepung

Dr Nurul juga menyarankan untuk membatasi makanan dan minuman manis saat berbuka. Sebaiknya, pilih makanan yang mengandung karbohidrat kompleks daripada olahan tepung. Cara ini dapat membantu hasil diet lebih maksimal.

Jangan Kurangi Porsi Makan Saat Sahur

Beberapa orang mengira mengurangi porsi makan saat sahur dapat membantu diet. Namun, menurut dr Nurul, anggapan ini keliru. Mengurangi makan saat sahur justru bisa menyebabkan rasa lapar berlebihan saat berbuka, yang berisiko membuat seseorang makan dalam jumlah berlebihan.

“Kalau sahurnya dikurangi, kita justru akan merasa lebih lapar. Saat berbuka, akhirnya makan balas dendam dan jadi kalap,” jelasnya.

Atur Pola Makan dengan Tepat

Dr Nurul menyarankan agar pola makan saat puasa tetap sederhana dan teratur. Jadwal makan hanya perlu sedikit penyesuaian. Misalnya, sarapan bisa digeser ke waktu sahur dan makan siang diganti saat berbuka.

“Dengan cara ini, tubuh tetap mendapatkan nutrisi yang seimbang, dan rencana diet untuk menurunkan berat badan bisa berjalan dengan sukses,” tegasnya.
