Dokter spesialis penyakit dalam, dr Mario Budi Purwanegara Tambunan, SpPD, KGEH, menyebutkan bahwa konsumsi mi instan saat sahur tidak sepenuhnya berbahaya. Terutama jika kondisi darurat membuat seseorang tidak memiliki banyak waktu untuk memasak makanan yang lebih sehat.

“Kalau kepepet ya apa boleh buat. Tidak ada rotan, akar pun jadi. Kalau kebiasaannya begitu dan tidak ada masalah dengan lambung, tidak masalah,” kata dr Mario kepada detikcom.

Namun, dr Mario juga menegaskan bahwa konsumsi mi instan terlalu sering, terutama saat sahur, dapat menimbulkan risiko bagi kesehatan. Salah satu risikonya adalah gangguan pencernaan, terutama bagi mereka yang memiliki masalah lambung.

“Kalau ada masalah lambung, konsumsi mi instan bisa menyebabkan refluks. Kalorinya tidak mampu dibakar dengan baik,” jelasnya.
