Orang tua harus menjaga bayi di bawah 1 tahun dengan ketat. Saat mencium atau menggendong, kita tidak tahu apakah orang dewasa atau anak lain sedang benar-benar sehat, ujar Prof Rini dalam agenda daring, Kamis (27/3/2025).

Udara dapat membawa dan menularkan beberapa infeksi tanpa disadari, jelas Dokter Rini. Karena itu, melakukan kontak fisik dengan bayi bisa menjadi jalur penularan yang berbahaya.

Oleh karena itu, imbauan ini sangat penting untuk mencegah bayi tertular penyakit saat bersilaturahmi. Apalagi, daya tahan tubuh bayi masih belum optimal, sehingga mereka lebih mudah jatuh sakit jika terpapar kuman dari orang lain.

Selain itu, Prof Rini juga mengingatkan agar tidak memberi makanan atau minuman kepada anak tanpa izin orang tua. Ia menekankan bahwa kebiasaan memberi makanan langsung dengan tangan sangat berisiko.

“Kadang orang memberi makan dengan tangan, padahal kita tidak tahu apakah tangannya bersih atau tidak,” katanya.
