Melansir ABS CBN pada Senin (3/2/2025), Hsu meninggal setelah tertular influenza selama liburan Tahun Baru Imlek. Saudara perempuan Hsu, Dee Hsu, mengonfirmasi kabar duka tersebut melalui agennya. Dee mengatakan, “Kami sekeluarga datang ke Jepang untuk berlibur, dan saudara perempuan saya yang paling baik hati dan tersayang, Barbie Hsu, meninggal karena pneumonia akibat influenza.”
