Medicalnews – Fenomena balap lari menjelang sahur terus marak setiap bulan Ramadan. Remaja sering menggelar aktivitas ini secara ilegal di jalanan, sehingga memicu pro dan kontra. Meski olahraga seharusnya menyehatkan, balap lari yang mereka lakukan secara sembarangan justru berpotensi membahayakan dan mengganggu ketertiban umum.

Dari sudut pandang kesehatan, praktik balap lari ini perlu mendapat perhatian serius. Dr Febianto Nurmansyach, SpKO, spesialis kedokteran olahraga dari Mayapada Hospital Tangerang, menilai remaja sering melakukan aktivitas ini sebagai bentuk hiburan.Namun, waktu pelaksanaannya yang menjelang sahur menimbulkan risiko bagi kelancaran puasa.

“Biasanya, karena mereka berlomba, intensitas lari yang dilakukan masuk kategori sedang hingga berat,” ujar dr Febianto saat berbincang dengan detikcom pada Rabu (5/3/2025).

Risiko Dehidrasi dan Dampaknya pada Puasa

Dr Febianto menegaskan bahwa balap lari dengan intensitas sedang hingga berat dapat menyebabkan kehilangan cairan tubuh yang signifikan. Jika durasi lari cukup lama, risiko dehidrasi semakin tinggi. Hal ini tentu berbahaya bagi mereka yang akan melaksanakan puasa keesokan harinya.

“Khawatirnya, jika dilakukan dengan intensitas tinggi dan durasi lama, pembuangan cairan tubuh menjadi banyak. Akibatnya, risiko dehidrasi sangat besar,” jelasnya.

Dehidrasi dapat menyebabkan rasa lemas, pusing, dan kelelahan. Kondisi ini bisa mengganggu aktivitas puasa dan berisiko bagi kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan.

Ancaman Cedera Akibat Medan Jalan dan Tanpa Alas Kaki

Selain risiko dehidrasi, dr Febianto juga menyoroti aspek keamanan dari kegiatan balap lari ini. Ia menegaskan bahwa lomba lari di jalan raya beraspal, apalagi tanpa menggunakan alas kaki, sangat berbahaya.

“Jika dilakukan di jalan raya tanpa alas kaki, risiko cedera sangat tinggi. Bisa saja terjadi cedera pada tulang, otot betis, hingga engkel. Bahkan, risiko tergelincir dan mengalami luka cukup besar,” ujarnya.

Menurutnya, risiko seperti luka gores, cedera otot, hingga patah tulang bisa terjadi jika peserta tidak mempersiapkan diri dengan baik. Jalan beraspal yang keras dan kasar juga meningkatkan kemungkinan terjadinya cedera serius.

Imbauan untuk Lebih Waspada dan Memilih Olahraga Aman

Dr Febianto mengimbau masyarakat, khususnya remaja, untuk lebih berhati-hati dalam memilih aktivitas fisik selama bulan Ramadan. Ia menyarankan agar memilih jenis olahraga yang aman dan tidak berisiko cedera, terutama menjelang waktu sahur.

“Sebaiknya, pilih aktivitas fisik yang lebih aman dan tidak berisiko tinggi. Pastikan tubuh tetap terhidrasi dengan baik, agar puasa bisa berjalan lancar,” tutupnya.

Dengan mempertimbangkan aspek kesehatan dan keselamatan, masyarakat diharapkan lebih bijak dalam memilih aktivitas fisik yang aman dan bermanfaat.
