“Minum kopi boleh saja, asal tubuh dalam kondisi sehat. Orang yang punya penyakit ginjal atau diabetes sebaiknya menghindari konsumsi kopi manis. Ia juga tidak menganjurkan konsumsi gula secara berlebihan.
Di sisi lain, Prof Rasyid mengingatkan agar pengendara tidak menahan kencing terlalu lama selama perjalanan. Kandung kemih memiliki kapasitas terbatas. Menahan urine terlalu lama bisa meningkatkan risiko infeksi saluran kemih.
“Kandung kemih bisa menampung sekitar 400 ml. Jika kandung kemih terisi hingga 600 ml, organ ini bisa kehilangan kemampuan memompa secara optimal,” jelasnya.
Saat kemampuan kandung kemih melemah, urine tidak keluar seluruhnya. Sisa urine ini bisa menjadi tempat berkembangnya bakteri. Kondisi ini bisa menimbulkan infeksi jika pengendara membiarkannya tanpa penanganan.
Prof Rasyid menyarankan pengendara untuk tetap buang air kecil secara teratur meskipun harus antre di rest area. Menjaga kebersihan dan kenyamanan selama perjalanan jauh juga penting untuk mencegah infeksi.
